Ted Combs

Commodore

Ted grew up spending summers on Klinger Lake and he and his family still enjoy the same property on Oakwood.  He loves to sail Sunfish and Flying Scots, waterski, and cruise in any and all "yachts" at any speed.

Jeff Knautz

Vice Commodore & Treasurer

Jeff grew up spending summers on Klinger Lake and has been sailing with his family since he was a young boy.  Jeff was heavily involved in the KLYC as a youth and continues to enjoy sailing and helping others learn the sport.

Jimmy Moriarty

Vice Commodore & Instructor

Jimmy has spent summers on Klinger Lake since 2001 and currently resides in Chicago.  He learned to sail in the KLYC youth program.  He sailed for his high school team and competed in the Nationals.  Jimmy is a certified level 2 instructor.

Mollie Beattey Smith

Vice Commodore & Social Director

Mollie is a 4th generation summer resident of Klinger Lake, otherwise residing in Indianapolis.  She and her family log countless hours sailing, skiing, wakeboarding and you name it.  She enjoys sailing with her children and recalls her grandfather sailing a Flying Scot on Klinger Lake many years ago.
