2008 Flying Scot Racing Results

June Series:, Roger Quinn and Barton Jahncke tied for first; Greg Rokicak was third.

July Series: Barton Jahncke was first, Jeff Phillips was second, and Roger Quinn was third.

August Series: Barton Jahncke was first, Roger Quinn was second, and Jim Burg was third.

The 2008 Flying Scot Championship Trophy donated by Betty Horton and her Family, went to Barton Jahncke. Barton is a 1968 Olympic Gold medal winner in sailing and has not lost his touch. He sailed many of the races with Melanie Knautz as a crew member, Melanie was last years winner in the Windjammer Youth Sailing Program.

The Don Knautz Trophy, awarded to the sailor who worked hard to keep KLYC moving in the right direction and assisted in all of its functions, was awarded to Pat McCarty.

The Windjammer Youth Sailing Program will be having is years end regatta on Saturday August 30th at 9:30. The races will be held on the southwest side of the lake off Oakwood Landing.
